Real Explorer: A Refreshing and Harmonic Residential Design

Creating a Cozy and Delicate Living Space

The Real Explorer design, created by Mu Ya Chen, is a residential project that embodies freshness, delicacy, and coziness. Inspired by the client's vision of a residence with soft colors and a touch of pink, the designer carefully selected Morandi colors to bring this vision to life. The result is a space that exudes elegance and restraint, while meeting the client's desires.

The master bedroom in the private area stands out with its Morandi pink door, which adds a pop of color and light to the space. The room is adorned with American wiring boards and culture stone back walls, injecting a modern touch into the quiet and elegant ambiance. The semi open-ended cabinet setups not only provide ample storage but also create a sense of transparency, expanding the visual senses within the room. The greenery in the room, combined with the view of the mountains outside the window, creates a sense of belonging and visual comfort for the user.

The Real Explorer design showcases unique properties that set it apart from others. The careful selection of materials, such as wooden shutters, culture stones, and color-flashed emulsion paint, adds character and visual interest to the space. The use of Southern sea styled wallpaper, double-layered bookshelves, and electronic cabinet boards further enhances the modern and refreshing atmosphere. Additionally, the designer manually processed imported foam aluminum boards, creating a distinctive feature in the design.

Technical excellence is also evident in the Real Explorer design. The spatial layout was carefully redesigned to optimize the living requirements of the owner. The base of the 13-ping case was transformed into an entryway, two rooms, and a living room, utilizing color flashing and unique materials to create a visually refreshing experience. The living room in the public area features a well-proportioned curved surface ceiling, which effectively optimizes the space and conceals beam-columns and pipelines.

The Real Explorer design embraces a green and minimalist approach, incorporating green building materials and decorations. The color palette of Morandi colors, combined with American maiden and light-American styles, creates a harmonious and soothing atmosphere throughout the space.

The Real Explorer design was a collaborative effort by Mu Ya Chen and Jing-Cian Lin. Together, they transformed the client's vision into a reality, carefully considering every step and detail. The result is a design that not only meets the functional requirements but also provides a sense of exploration and discovery.

This project was completed in Taiwan, starting in December 2019 and finishing in April 2021. The design process involved extensive research and collaboration with the client and her family members to achieve the perfect balance of color preferences and aesthetics. The challenges faced were overcome through multiple discussions and adjustments, resulting in a space that satisfies the client's requirements and delivers a neat and romantic ambiance.

The Real Explorer design, created by Mu Ya Chen, is a testament to the power of thoughtful design and attention to detail. It has been recognized for its excellence and innovation, receiving the Iron A' Design Award in 2022 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This award acknowledges the design's practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial standards, contributing to a better world.
